PSD PaintNet allows you to Open, Create, and Modify many popular file formats to include PSD, PNG, BMP, JPG, GIF, TIFF, and more.
 Simple, intuitive, and innovative user interface - Every feature and user interface element was designed to be immediately intuitive and quickly learn able without assistance. In order to handle multiple images easily, PSD PaintNet uses a tabbed document interface. A live thumbnail of the image is displayed in a tabbed format instead of a dull text description. This makes navigation easy and quick.
Layers - You may think of layers as a stack of transparency slides that, when viewed together at the same time, form one image - one of the primary secrets to great graphics creation which is similar to that only found with expensive and complicated professional software ..... layers form the basis for a rich image and graphics composition experience.
Special Effects - for enhancing and perfecting your images there are many special effects included. Everything from blurring, sharpening, red-eye removal, distortion, noise, and embossing are included with PSD PaintNet. Unique and included is a 3D Rotate/Zoom effect that makes it very easy to add perspective and tilting. You can also adjust or tweak an image's brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, curves, and levels. In addition, PSD PaintNet has the ability to convert an image to black and white, or toned.
Powerful Tools - PSD PaintNet includes simple tools for drawing shapes, including an easy-to-use curve tool for drawing splines or Bezier curves. The PSD PaintNet Gradient tool has been cited as an innovative improvement over similar tools provided by other software. The ability for creating and working with graphic selections is powerful, yet at the same time simple enough to be picked up quickly. Other included powerful PSD PaintNet tools include Magic Wand for selecting regions of similar color, and the Clone Stamp for copying or erasing portions of a graphic image. There is also a simple text editor, a tool for zooming, and a Recolor tool.
Unlimited History - We all make mistakes, and everybody changes their mind. To facilitate this, all actions performed on an image are recorded in a History window and may be undone. Once the action has been undone, you can also redo it if you choose. The length of the history is only limited by available disk space.
PSD PaintNet does not do everything Photoshop does ..... but it will do the most important and relevant designing tasks needed and/or required by most Graphic Designers and Web Designers which is modifying Layers ..... the very basis for rich image composition.
